Over the years, NIWRA has developed expertise in numerous areas: wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, short-term rehabilitation of bear, wolf and cougar, oil spills, and much more. Because of this experience, they have been able to develop extensive educational programs for the public. People often ask me how I started planting trees for the logging and forestry sectors.. Well funny enough my dad told me about it as a kid! He tried it for a season as a young adult and I loved hearing all his stories about it! A love for the outdoors, camping in the wilderness for days on end and long roadtrips made me want to give it a try! I thought it’d be fun. I didn’t think it would turn into a career that allows me to only work 3-5 months to earn people’s yearly salaries, that I’d have money to throw at start ups, dreams and travelling and that I’d never feel like I even WORK a day in my life. Grateful is an understatement.
