Being a part of the @Darc Sport team in and of itself I will never take granted for, and it’s so surreal to get to experience the surge of energy and inspiration I’m blessed with every time at these events knowing that I’m freakin teammates with some of the most dedicated, decorated, and loving people in the world. And on top of that, recognizing that we all have our own unique stories and purpose for the ways we’ve shown up and somehow found our ways crossing paths like this. It’s beautiful, it’s magical, and I can’t believe it’s my real life. I’m so proud to be here 🥹 I felt so blessed and loved this weekend hoooly moly. How lucky I am to not only know my roots but also get to integrate my heritage in the day to day, weaving it progressively deeper into my identity ☺️🪭 from having felt ashamed that the rice balls and other Japanese food my mom packed me for lunch “smelled weird” to my peers and embarrassed if my friends could hear my grandparents speaking Japanese with me in elementary, I’m so grateful now that my parents persisted in making me go to Saturday Japanese school and raised me in a Japanese-speaking household with the etiquette and customs as well. How cool is it that I get to carry on these traditions in a whole different country as well. Proud, as I should be ☺️🇯🇵 #japan #travel #kimono
