📣 SeaTac Airport is violating our rights 🚨❌⁣⁣⁣⁣ @FederalAviationAdministration ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I was denied wheelchair assistance at SeaTac because of my body size. I almost fainted last time I flew in because they refused to help me. I’m not alone—this has happened to other fat travelers, too. When I spoke up, people told me it was because I could “injure the staff” just by existing. That’s blatant discrimination.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ If SeaTac refuses to assist fat people, they need to have a written policy stating their discrimination outright. But instead, they lie, deny services, and leave disabled fat travelers stranded. This is unacceptable, and I will not stay silent.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ If this has happened to you—speak up. Use your voice. If you’re scared, tell me and I’ll speak up for you. {#OperationFatLiberationPartnership} Chameleon Salon PDX is the first place I’ve been to where everything actually fit, and I felt celebrated the whole time. 💙 From the chairs to the cape, even the wash station—I fit comfortably and felt cared for every step of the way. 🙌⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So many salons are inaccessible to fat people, but @✨Chameleon Salon✨ is setting the bar for what we need to see more of in the world. They're showing us what an equitable society looks like—where fat people have access to the same experiences and services as everybody else. 🫶⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this place for years, and they are absolutely getting accessibility right. From their 800 lb weight capacity styling chairs to the fact that the whole space is designed for comfort, Chameleon Salon is proving that inclusivity and style can go hand in hand. 💅✨⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Huge shoutout to @rachel :) • pdx hair stylist, who made this experience possible.
