This week's #FridayFeeling #guitar post goes out to The Allman Brothers. I have fantastic memories with them going back a long way. Duane, Dickey and I were like a ’59 Les Paul club. We loved them. Gregg was a fantastic singer and organist. Allman Brothers Live at The Fillmore East is one of the best albums of all time in my opinion. Duane once gave me a very special gift. If you can believe it, it was a Coricidin cold medicine glass bottle neck to play slide guitar, in a little red pouch. He swore by it. At our gig, Dickey put out a CTs 3000 Crown Amp with a speaker on every side and plugged his Les Paul in. The place was absolutely electrified. Here they are with an acoustic version of Melissa.
