This makes him easily defensive, overly critical of people and partners, blaming others for perceived mistakes, and ultimately he displays perfectionist and black and white thinking. A supportive partner should hold them accountable but without blame. Use "I" language and share how actions (not "the wounded partner") made you feel. The wounded partner should slowly learn how to replace judgement with "natural consequence" which means that every action will have a response, these responses do not require blame only learning and growth.
